Why help educate young men and boys?
Access to education is a fundamental human right. One might think that nowadays all individuals, and especially all men benefit from this right, but this is unfortunately not necessarily true. Many individuals cannot exercise this right freely, especially in countries where, quite often, costs of education exceed most families’ income. In these situations, most men fail to get the education they deserve. This happens often especially in African countries, where education is often a privilege of rich individuals.
It thus becomes imperative to do something about this. So, what can one do? The simple answer is to make education available to more individuals, particularly men, coming from underprivileged backgrounds in underdeveloped countries.

Being part of this impactful initiative has been a true blessing. It’s an incredible opportunity that supports individuals from marginalized communities in pursuing their educational goals and building brighter futures.
This project has made a significant difference in the lives of many, especially in environments where social acceptance is limited. Despite the challenges we face in our country, Uganda, Märchenprinz has empowered us to stay strong, focused, and hopeful for a successful future.

Greetings my name is Mugisha Isaac. There are moments in life when all seems uncertain when the dreams we carry feel too heavy for the path we walk. For many of us, the desire to pursue education has always been strong, but the financial challenges standing in our way were even stronger. Yet, in the midst of all that uncertainty, a light appeared a name that now holds so much meaning for me and for others walking a similar journey: the Märchenprinz Education Project.
This project has been more than just a source of financial help. It has been a hand that lifted us up when we were about to fall, a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles. Through their unwavering support, not only was I able to pay my tuition and continue my education, but I also found hope again. And what makes this story even more beautiful is that I am not alone in receiving this kindness. There are others, just like me young people with dreams and goals who have been given a second chance at education because of Märchenprinz.
It is rare to find such genuine compassion in this world support that asks for nothing in return but believes in the power of education to change lives. Through this help, we are not only gaining knowledge but building futures we once thought were out of reach.

In the heart of Uganda, where the lush landscapes paint a picture of beauty and resilience, a new light of hope began to shine — for many, including myself. That light is the Märchenprinz Education Project, a name that speaks of transformation and new beginnings.
My name is Akenda Douglas. I was a dedicated student with high academic potential and great ambition for university.
When the Märchenprinz Education Project came. It was not just a program, it was a turning point. The project recognized the silent struggles many of us face and the importance of access to education for those who have been pushed aside. Through their compassion and dedication, they began to support students like me — individuals who had lost everything, including their chance to continue learning.
The day I received my acceptance letter, I was overwhelmed with emotion. It was more than financial support — it was the recognition that I mattered. That I still had a future. Märchenprinz gave me more than just a scholarship; it gave me a sense of belonging and a space where I could thrive.
Today, we are students of law, medicine, engineering, information technology, and the arts. We study with passion and purpose, knowing that each lesson, each achievement, brings us closer to not just fulfilling our personal dreams, but to building a more inclusive and understanding society.
Through this project, we have found our voices — and the courage to use them. Our education is not just about personal success. It’s a tool for change, a pathway to uplift ourselves and others who are still struggling in silence.
